I have read this book and it is just what your children need to have a sound exposure of farm animals. They will learn about the uniqueness of each animal and their traits in small chunks. Interesting as you read the book to your little one you will learn a thing or two as well about these farm animals.
I really enjoyed this book. The storyline was engaging, and as someone with a livestock background, I thought the author did an excellent job of simplifying agricultural concepts and weaving them naturally into the story. The illustrations were beautiful, and the color choices were well balanced not too busy or overwhelming for young readers. The book was visually appealing and complemented the story nicely.
As a an adult that lived in Marchfield St. Philip, Barbados, I was so excited and thrilled to see a farm book based off my homebase. Also as a mystery buff, I thoroughly enjoyed Callie's detective work and how she solved the case. This book teaches young children about farm life, honesty and cooperation. ***Can't wait for mystery #2***
